The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department hosted the grand launch of the Mahakumbh 2025 Prelude at The Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi, marking the official countdown to one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, the Mahakumbh Mela.

Prominent dignitaries at the event included Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister, Jaiveer Singh. Addressing the audience, Shekhawat said, “If you wish to explore India, come to Mahakumbh,” while Jaiveer Singh added, “Mahakumbh 2025 will be a great convergence for human welfare.”

The Mahakumbh Mela, to be held in Prayagraj, is anticipated to attract over 40 crore devotees from across the globe. The prelude highlighted the extensive preparations underway, emphasizing both cultural and infrastructural efforts to ensure a seamless experience for pilgrims and tourists.

He remarked, “In today’s geopolitically turbulent times, the Mahakumbh reflects the spirit of global unity.” He also assured world-class infrastructure, accommodations, and guided tours for visitors.

Echoing these sentiments, Uttar Pradesh’s Tourism Minister, Jaiveer Singh, emphasized the event’s embodiment of India’s philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (The world is one family). He invited international guests to witness the unparalleled grandeur of the Mahakumbh, which aims to set new benchmarks in religious tourism.
