Addressing a Rozgar Mela this week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi focused on the instrumental role of tourism in India's economy and its potential to generate substantial employment opportunities. He projected that the tourism sector could contribute more than INR 20 lakh crore to the Indian economy by 2030.
The Prime Minister stated, "It is anticipated that this industry alone will provide new employment opportunities for 13 to 14 crore people. This advancement will leave an impact on the lives of every Indian citizen."
Furthermore, PM Modi emphasized that this narrative of India's growth transcends mere numbers; it embodies the positive transformation that it will usher into the lives of all citizens. He noted that the upsurge in the tourism sector will correspondingly surge in employment opportunities, directly correlating with an improved quality of life and enhanced income levels.

Additionally, the rapid strides in India's infrastructure are driving connectivity, bolstering tourism and hospitality, and consequently generating novel job openings. Modi affirmed, "India's infrastructure is rapidly evolving. Over the past nine years, the central government has infused over INR 30 lakh crore into infrastructure development. This expansion is fostering connectivity across the nation and opening up new avenues in the tourism and hospitality sectors."
Beyond tourism, Modi highlighted the promising growth potential in sectors like automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and food processing, which are poised to offer swift employment prospects for the youth.
