BLTM 2026 Brings Global MICE Industry to Delhi

BLTM 2026, a major B2B trade show for business, leisure and MICE travel, opened at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, bringing international destinations and India’s travel industry together.

500+ Exhibitors and 12,000+ Business Meetings

The ninth edition features 500+ exhibitors from five countries and 18 Indian States and Union Territories, along with 300+ hosted buyers and more than 12,000 pre-scheduled business meetings. The opening day recorded a 10% increase in visitor turnout compared with last year.

Strong International Participation

Sri Lanka, Israel, Saint Petersburg (Russia), Nepal and Thailand are participating alongside Indian tourism boards, hotels, resorts, travel companies and destination management organisations. Sri Lanka is the Partner Country, Israel the Feature Country and Saint Petersburg the Focus Destination, while Delhi is the Host State.

Focus on India’s Growing MICE Market

The event was inaugurated by Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Managing Director, Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation, and Dheera Hettiarachchi, Chairman, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau.

Anchipaka highlighted Delhi’s increasing focus on MICE tourism and said the city is working towards establishing a dedicated convention bureau to attract more business events.

The organisers cite projections that India’s outbound MICE tourism market could reach USD 13.4 billion by 2031, while the wider Indian MICE market is projected to grow from USD 49.4 billion in 2024 to USD 103.7 billion by 2030.

Rural Tourism Also in Focus

BLTM 2026 features a dedicated rural tourism showcase highlighting homestays and authentic village experiences from Madhya Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, with an emphasis on local culture, cuisine, handicrafts and sustainable livelihoods.

AI, Weddings and Future of MICE

The event continues through September 4 with sessions covering AI and MICE, destination weddings, emerging markets and future business-event trends, followed by the Valedictory and Awards Function and Responsible Tourism Awards.
