India’s First Digital Museum Honoring Tribal Freedom Heroes to Be Showcased on Kartavya Path

Chhattisgarh’s tableau will be among the star attractions on New Delhi’s Kartavya Path during the upcoming Republic Day celebrations. This year’s tableau will present a striking depiction of the nation’s first digital museum dedicated to tribal freedom heroes. The Ministry of Defence’s expert committee has selected Chhattisgarh’s tableau for the Republic Day main ceremony.
The digital museum was inaugurated in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the formation of Chhattisgarh.

Congratulating the state on the selection of the tableau for the Republic Day celebrations, Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai said that through Chhattisgarh’s tableau, citizens across the country will witness the unflinching patriotism, unparalleled bravery and the proud tradition of supreme sacrifice upheld by tribal communities for their principles. He described the selection as a moment of pride and excitement for the entire state.

Rohit Yadav, Secretary of the Public Relations Department, said that all states had submitted their tableau proposals to the Ministry of Defence. After an extensive and rigorous selection process spanning nearly four months, tableaux from 17 states have been finalized, including that of Chhattisgarh. The expert committee highly appreciated the subject matter, presentation style and innovative design of Chhattisgarh’s tableau.

Ravi Mittal, Commissioner of Public Relations, said that Chhattisgarh’s tableau is based on the Government of India’s theme, “The Mantra of Freedom- Vande Mataram.” The tableau depicts the extraordinary sacrifices and struggles of tribal heroes in whose honor the nation’s first digital museum has been established. The museum plays a vital role in presenting the valor, unity and commitment to freedom embodied in tribal movements and uprisings to the younger generation in a dynamic, interactive and inspiring form. The selection represents not only the proud presentation of Chhattisgarh’s cultural and historical heritage on a national platform, but also a powerful means of giving due recognition to the contributions of tribal communities.

“The selection of Chhattisgarh’s tableau for the Republic Day parade is a matter of immense pride for the entire state. Through the tableau, the immortal stories of tribal freedom heroes, their patriotism, indomitable courage and the tradition of sacrifice preserved in the country’s first digital museum are being presented on a national stage. This tableau is not merely a display, but a symbol of the nation’s gratitude and respect for the contribution of tribal society, which will inspire the younger generation,” said Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai.
