Egyptian Man Sets World Record by Visiting All Seven Wonders in Under Seven Days

Egyptian Man

Magdy Eissa, a 45-year-old from Egypt, has achieved a remarkable feat by visiting all seven of the new wonders of the world in just 6 days, 11 hours, and 52 minutes, relying solely on public transport.

This achievement has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records, which celebrated his accomplishment with a video on Instagram showcasing highlights of his journey.

Eissa’s incredible tour began at the Great Wall of China, followed by stops at the Taj Mahal in Agra, India, and Petra in Jordan.

He continued his whirlwind trip to the Colosseum in Rome, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, and Machu Picchu in Peru, before concluding at Chichen Itza in Mexico.

Eissa’s journey

This achievement surpasses the previous record set by Jamie McDonald from England. Eissa spent nearly one and a half years meticulously planning his journey.

“Navigating a complex web of flights, trains, buses, subways, and walking between transportation hubs and the Wonders was challenging,” Eissa shared with Guinness World Records. “A single disruption could have derailed the entire itinerary.”

Eissa faced several challenges during his adventure. He missed his usual bus to Petra after oversleeping and had to find an alternative public bus, which was challenging since the site is primarily accessible through private tour services and taxis.

He also nearly missed his flight from Peru to Mexico, but airline staff reopened the check-in counter after learning about his record attempt.

Visiting the new seven wonders of the world was a childhood dream for Eissa. He celebrated his accomplishment with immense pride.

“Beyond personal satisfaction, this challenge allowed me to momentarily escape daily stresses. The frenetic pace and problem-solving required throughout the record attempt served as an effective outlet to vent and decompress,” Eissa explained.

Eissa’s journey is a testament to his determination and meticulous planning. It serves as an inspiration to those who dream of achieving the extraordinary, demonstrating that with dedication and perseverance, even the most ambitious goals are attainable.
