“Rain & Floods Hit Kalka-Shimla Railway”
The unrelenting downpour and flood crisis in Himachal Pradesh have resulted in substantial human and material losses, with the latest casualty being the historic 94-kilometer Kalka-Shimla railway line, a UNESCO World Heritage site. An extensive landslide swept away a portion of the iconic railway track located between the Summer Hill and Jutogh stations.
