In 1349, builders constructed Madwa Palace, also known as Dulhadev, to commemorate the marriage of Nagavanshi King Ramchandra Dev and Princess Ambika Devi. Kawardha Forest Division Officer Shashi Kumar mentioned that they have divided the sanctuary area into core and buffer zones, with the Chilfi Valley in the buffer zone housing several Baiga tribal villages. A butterfly camp will be organized in the sanctuary by the end of August, and jungle safaris are expected to commence in November.
