Most Risky Cities for Tourists: Karachi and Dhaka Among the Top

In a recent report by Forbes Adviser, Karachi has been identified as the second-most risky cities for tourists, scoring 93.12 out of 100. This ranking places Karachi just behind Caracas, Venezuela, which topped the list with a score of 100. Yangon, Myanmar, secured the third spot with a score of 91.67, while Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, ranked as the sixth most risky city according to the report.

Caracas is recognized as the most risky city in the world for tourists. The factors contributing to this ranking include high crime rates, violence, political instability, and economic challenges.

Karachi faces significant personal security risks, including crime, violence, terrorist threats, and natural disasters. The US State Department has rated the city’s travel safety as “level 3 – reconsider travel.” Additionally, Karachi struggles with poor infrastructure, ranking fourth in infrastructure security risks globally. Yangon’s position as the third-most risky city stems from similar issues of crime and violence, along with political unrest and economic vulnerabilities.
