Union Home Minister visits Champaran

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah visited Champaran in Chhattisgarh, where he offered prayers at the ‘praakatya sthal’ of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji, and Champeshwar Mahadev. He prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the nation’s citizens. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, and MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal accompanied him.

Upon his arrival at the Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ashram in Champaran, Shri Amit Shah received a traditional welcome. Shri Dwarikeshwar Lal Ji Maharaj presented him with a statue of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji and members of the Vallabhacharya Nidhi Trust also welcomed him, while Shri Harish Babaria and Monal Babaria presented him with a picture of Shrinath Ji.

Union Home Minister visits Champaran

Champaran, the birthplace of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji, attracts followers of the Pushti Marg from across the country. Vallabhacharya Ji was born near the Champeshwar Mahadev temple in Champaran after his mother experienced labor pains during a visit to Banaras-South. Vallabhacharya Ji founded the Pushti Marg, spreading Krishna consciousness throughout India. The history of Champaran exemplifies India’s rich cultural heritage and the enduring legacy of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji and the Bhakti movement acharyas who upheld the values of the Sanatan tradition.

Offered prayers at sacred sites

Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji’s childhood and memories are chronicled in texts such as ‘Chaurasi Vaishnavo Ki Varta’ and ‘Vallabh Digvijay’. Champaran is located near the Triveni Sangam Rajim, the sacred land of Lord Shri Rajiv Lochan, also known as Padma Kshetra. Devotees perform the ‘Panchkosi Parikrama’ around this area and offer water to Champeshwar Mahadev..
