Kuong Koy, the Cambodian Ambassador, hailed this development as a testament to the collaborative efforts of both countries’ leaders, particularly in civil aviation. He expressed his delight, deeming it ‘a dream come true,’ and highlighted the manifold benefits, including enhanced tourism promotion, given Cambodia’s rich heritage of Hindu and Buddhist temples.

Anticipating a surge in tourist arrivals, especially from India, Seila Hul, under secretary of state for Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism, emphasized the positive impact of direct flights on bilateral tourism. Chhay Sivlin, President of Cambodia’s Tourism Association, echoed this sentiment, noting the cultural affinities between India and Cambodia, particularly in Hinduism.

With flights scheduled for optimal convenience—four times a week between Phnom Penh and New Delhi—travelers can look forward to exploring the vibrant cultures and attractions of both nations with ease. Whether it’s discovering the majestic Angkor Wat or indulging in the rich cultural tapestry, these direct flights promise to elevate the travel experience for all.
