The Upcoming Ram Temple in Ayodhya to Feature an 8-Foot Gold-Plated Marble Throne for Lord Ram’s Idol
In an exciting development, the forthcoming Ram Temple in Ayodhya is set to unveil an impressive addition – an 8-foot tall gold-plated marble throne for the idol of Lord Ram. Crafted by skilled artisans from Rajasthan, this majestic throne is slated to arrive in Ayodhya by December 15, according to reports.
Anil Mishra, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, shared that this ornate marble throne will find its place within the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. “The throne to be placed in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram Mandir will stand eight feet high, stretch three feet in length, and extend four feet in width,” he revealed.
Mishra also disclosed that devoted patrons have generously donated a substantial quantity of gold and silver items for the temple, including coins and bricks. Ensuring the security of these donated items has presented challenges, and the solution will involve melting them into a solid block, overseen by a reputable organization.
The construction work on the temple is progressing at an accelerated pace, with an increasing number of workers involved in the endeavor. The ground floor of the Ram temple is expected to reach completion by December 15, without exception. Currently, the first floor is 80% finished, and the construction of the sanctum sanctorum, along with the flooring of the Parikrama Marg, is already completed. Ongoing efforts encompass the installation of marble flooring in the Griha Mandap and additional flooring work at various locations, including the stairs.
Furthermore, the roofing for all three floors is complete, and safety equipment has been installed. The entrance gate of the outer wall surrounding the Ram Mandir is in its final stages of construction and is anticipated to be completed by the end of November. Additionally, 17 out of the total 19 pillars on the first floor have already been installed.
According to reports, the Ram statue is scheduled to be installed on January 22, 2024, in a historic ceremony presided over by Indian Prime Minister Modi. The continued progress and dedication displayed in the construction of the Ram Temple are a testament to the deep reverence and significance attached to this monumental project.
