Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Showcases State’s Potential Through FAM Tour
The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board successfully organized a six-day Familiarization (FAM) Tour from March 13 to18, 2026, aimed at promoting the state’s tourism potential among key stakeholders across India.
The initiative brought together nearly 30 tour operators and travel agents from regions including Ranchi, Maharashtra, Chennai, Bengaluru, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Karnataka, Delhi, and Odisha. The program offered participants an immersive experience of Chhattisgarh’s diverse tourism landscape, including its natural beauty, waterfalls, forest ecosystems, heritage sites, and vibrant tribal culture.
To ensure comprehensive exposure, the delegates were divided into two curated circuits. The North Chhattisgarh circuit covered Ambikapur, Mainpat, and Ramgarh, while the South Chhattisgarh circuit included Kanker, Kondagaon, Jagdalpur, Chitrakote, Dantewada, and Barsur. These routes enabled participants to explore the state’s unique blend of scenic and cultural attractions.
The FAM Tour concluded with a closing ceremony and interactive session at Mayfair Resort, bringing together policymakers, industry stakeholders, and travel partners on a common platform.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Shri Neelu Sharma, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board; Shri Vivek Acharya (IFS), Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board; Shri Jaspreet Bhatia, President, Chhattisgarh Travel Trades Association; Shri Taranjeet Hora, President, Hotel and Restaurant Association of Chhattisgarh.
Senior members of the tourism fraternity, travel partners from across the country, and officials of the Tourism Board were also present.
The initiative served as a strategic platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration, with discussions focusing on strengthening tourism circuits, enhancing infrastructure, and expanding Chhattisgarh’s presence in national travel itineraries.
This effort marks a significant step toward positioning Chhattisgarh as a distinctive, experience-driven destination, showcasing its rich natural heritage and cultural diversity.
