Rajim Kumbh Kalp 2024: Ganga Aarti & Ayodhya Dham Display

The Rajim Kumbh Kalp-2024 kicked off with grandeur as the Ganga Aarti illuminated the banks of the Prayag Rajim in Chhattisgarh, where the Mahanadi, Parry, and Sondhur rivers converge. The vibrant essence of Ayodhya Dham enriched the atmosphere, marking the beginning of the Rajim Kumbh Kalpa celebrations, themed as Ramotsav.

Dignitaries including Ministers Brijmohan Aggarwal and Ramvichar Netam graced the occasion alongside notable figures like Tank Ram Verma and MLA Jai Chandrakar. Culture and Endowment Minister Agarwal lauded the significance of the event, emphasizing its role in promoting Chhattisgarh’s heritage as the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya and the pilgrimage routes of Lord Shri Ram.

Minister Agarwal expressed gratitude towards Sadhvi Pragya Bharti for her efforts in river conservation and highlighted the convergence of three districts in Rajim akin to the confluence of rivers. The event aims to enrich the historical fabric of the Maghi Punni Fair, now transformed into Rajim Kumbh Kalpa 2024 on the suggestion of spiritual leaders.

Endowments Minister underscored the continuation of various events including Sant Samagam over the next fortnight, culminating in the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. He emphasized the importance of such gatherings in fostering state pride and patriotism.

Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam celebrated the inclusivity of the event, acknowledging the presence of revered sages and saints, including Mahamandaleshwar Agni Peethadhishwar Krishnanand Maharaj Ji. He affirmed the government’s commitment to respecting religious sentiments and hoped for an enhanced reputation for the state and the nation through the Kumbh Mela.

Former minister Ajay Chandrakar lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in Ayodhya and assured continued protection of people’s faith. Notable addresses were also delivered by MP Chunnilal Sahu and MLA Rohit Sahu, while renowned singer Anuradha Paudwal’s bhajan and the emotional dance drama ‘Geetak Darshan’ captivated the devotees.

The event witnessed a large turnout including MLA Inder Kumar Sahu and officials from the Tourism and Culture Department, affirming the collective commitment to preserving traditions and promoting cultural heritage.
